Letterform design project: Date: 10/26/16

What is a letterform design?

A letterform design is a term used especially in typography, paleography, calligraphy and epigraphy to mean a letter's shape. "Letterform" is a synonym for glyph, which is a specific, concrete way of writing an abstract character or grapheme.

What was your job as the designer?

My job as the designer was to create 9 different designs using letters. Each design was different because we were give tasks for each box. We had to position and use many different fonts. Color wise, I used black and white to give it a more simple look.

What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some of the challenges I faced during this project would be positioning the letters a certain way to make my project different from everyone else.

Do you feel you successfully completed the project? Why or why not?

I feel that I successfully completed the project. I feel that I could have done better but overall I liked the way my project turned out. What I liked the most about my project was that I used black and white. I feel that if I were to use any other colors it wouldn't have turned out the way it did.

If you can change something about the project what would it be and why?

One thing I would use more fonts, so maybe my project could have been more unified.
