Retail Bag Design:

Date: 1/13/17

  1. How do you believe your design relates to the corporate Identity of your company?

I believe that my bag relates to the corporate identity to the company very well. My bag is all about simplicity and so is Jo Malone. The company is a fragrance brand from London. There original bag is very simple and I believe my bag fulfills the corporate identity of Jo Malone.

  1. How does your bag portray the “holiday”?

My bag portrays to holiday theme because on the front and back it has a bow just like a gift that you may give or receive during the holiday season. I stayed with the same color scheme as the original bag because other colors would not fit the companies’ identity. But overall, I think that my bag portrayed the “holiday” idea.

  1. Do you think that the company you designed for would really use your bag? Why or why not?

I actually do think the company would use the bag I designed because it is relatively similar to their bag now. It has lots of differenced overall, but by using the same colors it makes the bag look similar. The bow and the inside are different and I think that they would really like it.

  1. What makes your bag Unique and Different?

What makes my bag unique and different is the inside. I love how it is a stripe pattern matched the colors shown throughout the bag.

  1. Describe the process in which you took to create the bag? (From beginning to end)

In the beginning of designing this bag, I had a lot of problems with choosing a brand and coming up with a design to match the corporate identity of the company. So, I kept switching the brand and design almost everyday. Then I started to realize that I was overthinking it. I ended up choosing a very simple and classy brand, Jo Malone. Once I started to design this bag, it all came to me that simple is better. So I just kept their same writing on the bag. I added a simple bow on the front and back to give it a holiday feel.
